Back from spending a couple days in Walla Walla for Vintage weekend. This was my first time traveling to Walla Walla for this event. Due to the cost of many of the festivities (which ranged from $50-$100) and that the events land on Friday and Saturday, this weekend is considerably more relaxed than other major event weekends in town. The only downside of this is that due to the smaller crowds, some of the wines we sampled had been opened for a number of hours or overnight. In some cases this was a benefit but in most cases it was not.

In terms of the Vintage Walla Walla events, we only attended the Les Collines blending seminar on Saturday. We did, however, visit a number of wineries on Saturday and Sunday. Wineries we visited Sunday before heading out of town included Nicholas Cole Cellars, Skylite Cellars, Glencorrie – a new winery that opened its doors for the first time over the weekend, and Woodward Canyon. More on the weekend in the coming days.
