Well, ladies and gentlemen, it’s that time of year. We’ve reached our annual subscriber drive!

I’ll be as blunt as I can be. I need your help.

The current contraction of the wine industry, the overall state of the U.S. economy, and, yes, AI have all negatively impacted my business in 2026. I simply cannot continue to do what I do without additional subscriber support. Otherwise, I need to turn out the lights and move on.

At Northwest Wine Report, I try to strike a balance between paywalling content and making articles freely available. In that way, I do not twist your arm to subscribe. Rather, I ask you to support Northwest Wine Report if you find value in what I do.

Please understand, however, that while I only paywall some content, subscriptions pay for everything that is on this site. Without subscriptions, this site would not exist.

We support businesses with our pocket books. My business is no different. I need your support now more than ever. You subscribing is the only way that this site will be able to continue in even the short-term.

As a subscriber to Northwest Wine Report, in addition to supporting the promotion of Northwest wine, you also receive access to:

For those who have already subscribed, thank you. I ask for your continued support. Please also consider sharing Northwest Wine Report’s content on social your social channels and telling your wine-loving friends about the site. It makes a big difference.

For those who have not subscribed yet, now is the time! Alternately, if your subscription has lapsed and you’ve been thinking about renewing, again, now is the time.

For the Fall Subscriber Drive this year, I’m looking for 40 new subscribers. It’s a big goal, and I need to hit it.

You can check on how we’re doing in the coming weeks by looking at the number of subscribers still needed on the right-hand side of the site. The Fall Subscriber Drive will run through December 20th.

NB: Please note that subscribers do not receive a Northwest Wine Report tote bag, just great information about Northwest wine and my gratitude.
