Hamilton Cellars, Red Mountain by Richard Duval

Washington’s Hamilton Cellars is selling its entire inventory at a steep discount – $100 per case or less. Proceeds will go toward the Stacie & Russ Hamilton Foundation at Washington State University (WSU) Tri-Cities to support scholarships for students pursuing degrees in viticulture and enology, business, and nursing. It will also fund grants for faculty and staff.

“This sale is not just a way to celebrate my parents’ legacy – it’s a way to invest in the future,” Craig Hamilton, the son of Stacie and Russ Hamilton, said in a press release. “We’re proud to support WSU Tri-Cities and the students and faculty who represent the next wave of innovation and leadership.”

The case sale begins April 25th and continues every Thursday through Sunday through June 8th. There are further discounts at larger volumes. For example, 10+ cases is $70 and 20+ cases $60. All sales must be made and picked up in-person at the Hamilton Cellars facility on Red Mountain. Additional details about the case sale can be found here.

Stacie and Russ Hamilton launched Hamilton Cellars in 2006 and opened a tasting room in Queensgate Village in 2011. The winery initially focused largely on Malbec, though later expanded to other varieties. In 2014, the couple opened a tasting room and planted a 10-acre vineyard on Red Mountain.

Stacie Hamilton passed away in 2021. Russ Hamilton passed away in 2023. The winery was subsequently listed for sale in 2024. The property was purchased by Leschi Lakeside Property Management, and the facility will be available for lease. Production capacity is 2,500-3,000 cases per year.
