Red Willow is the site of the first Syrah plantings in Washington in 1986. Dark plum, raspberry, brown stem, and flower aromas lead to svelte, reserved, purple fruit flavors. It’s a very pretty showing of the variety at this esteemed site, expanding with time open. Food is required to see it at its best. Pair with seared lamb chop topped with a cherry glaze.
