50+ wines reviewed below and in the database, including the latest from 3100 Cellars, Abbey Road Farm, AniChe, Arenness, Avennia, Cadence, Cymbal, Grosgrain, Knudsen, Long Shadows, Northstar, Pamplin, Pepper Bridge, Pursued by Bear, Soter, Spring Valley, and Tirriddis.

There are a number of noteworthy wines in the review set below. Among them is the first set of wines from Grosgrain’s estate vineyard in the SeVein project. They include a varietal Carignan and Grenache. Estate Vermentino also makes it into the Grosgrain 2023 Tout le Temps Walla Walla Valley. All of the Grosgrain wines below are standouts and show the winery’s fresh, focused style. Additional estate fruit coming on-line is an exciting development for the winery.

The reviews below also include a Walla Walla Valley Rocks District wine from…Seattle’s Cadence? Yes, pigs truly do fly! Look for an upcoming article with the full story behind the wine.

On a bittersweet note, the reviews below include the last set of released wines from Pamplin Family. Pamplin was a sister winery of Willamette Valley’s Anne Amie Vineyards. I first wrote about Pamplin back in 2011. The winery’s 2008 JRG Bordeaux-style blend, the inaugural release from the winery, was a revelation.

Over the last 13 years, Pamplin winemaker Robert Henry has made some of the finest wines coming out of the Columbia Valley. From start to finish, the wines have been expressive of their place and showed a distinctive, hands-off styling that allowed the fruit to shine. As the releases below show, Pamplin steps away on a high note. If you see Pamplin wines on the shelves, I highly recommend picking them up.

On to the reviews.
