Devison Evergreen Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc Columbia Valley 2022

Special Designation: Critic's Choice

Price: $28

Devison is making the most compelling, acid and terroir-driven Sauvignon Blanc in the Pacific Northwest. For the first time, this wine saw 17% new oak in French demi-muids. The aromas start out reserved and pick up steam over time, with notes of talc, mineral, pink grapefruit, lemon pith, flower, and herb. A hyper-textured palate follows, with layers of fruit backed by puckering, nervy acidity. The balance is impressive, with loads of hang time on the finish. It’s glorious, an acid lover’s delight. Drinks best on the higher end of 55-60 degrees.
