Coming from one of the state’s premier Rhône variety sites, this is a blend of Mourvèdre (78%) and Grenache. The aromas are still unfurling, with notes of strawberry, herb, peppery spice, orange rind, and whiffs of grapefruit. Medium-bodied, layered flavors follow, showing generous texture and length. The acid is impressive, as is the depth and complexity. It’s a serious wine, one to think about as much to enjoy.
