Cadence Coda Red Mountain 2010
On first pour a waft of earth rises up from the glass followed by an explosion of wound up currant, raspberries, cherries, plum, mineral, and floral notes. The palate is tightly wound with tart fruit flavors, firm tannins, and vibrant acids lifting the frame. A very serious wine at this price that needs a couple hours open to fully reveal its charms. 44% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Petit Verdot. 14.4% alcohol.
